The Guardian Warm Roof is the latest innovation in conservatory roof replacement technology. The energy efficiency, coupled with the contemporary style of a tiled roof makes it a popular choice with those looking to upgrade their conservatory. What makes a Guardian Warm Roof particularly special is its thermal properties, which creates a peaceful cosy space to curl up in during the winter and a shaded room to shelter from the glare of the sun in the summer.
Stylish & Solid
When you take the roof off a conservatory and replace it with a Guardian Warm Roof, you will be shocked by the difference it can make. By adding a tiled roof, you can make your conservatory look like a proper ground floor extension. You can even choose the colour of your tiles to match your existing roof, allowing your conservatory to blend better with your home. You can even add roof windows to suit your needs and further enhance the impression of a ground floor extension.
Every Guardian Warm Roof that we install is tailored to your specifications. Externally you can have a choice of either a slate tile or shingle roof, available in a range of colours and finishes. You can even choose to have skylights installed. Internally you can choose from a smooth plastered ceiling or cosy timber finish with optional LED lights. For more information on all options available, please feel free to speak to a member of the Radley Windows team.
The Guardian Warm Roof and insulated conservatory roof fully tested and approved to all thermal and structural standards. The system is made up of a lightweight frame, two layers of insulation board, internal plasterboard, exterior plywood, a vapour membrane, and your choice of tiles. The way the system is put together ensures the conservatory stays cool over the summer, and prevents heat escaping over winter (reducing costly heating bills). This incredibly effective insulation also helps protects against unwanted outside noise.
Prior to 2010, you could not install a solid roof onto a conservatory or porch, this altered when the Building Regulations changed their definition of a conservatory in 2010. As a result of this change, the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) released guidelines in August 2013 on replacing a translucent roof (glass or polycarbonate) on a conservatory or porch with a solid roof. The Guardian Warm Roof follows these rules down to the last full stop, making it LABC approved prior to installation. For more information on these guidelines, you can read them here or speak to a member of our team.
Quick & Easy Installation
The task of transforming your conservatory roof is quick and painless. Overall the process usually takes around three to four days, and is designed to provide as little disruption to your home as possible. It consists of removing your existing glass or polycarbonate roof, preparing your conservatory frame, then we ‘build’ your new roof according to your specifications. The process is quick, easy, and we will be out of your hair as soon as we can. This will allow you to enjoy your new and improved conservatory room as soon as possible.
Extra Space in Your Home
When you install a Guardian Warm Roof onto your conservatory, you are actively unlocking the full potential of this additional space. After the installation is complete, you can use your conservatory for whatever you want without worrying about it getting too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter. Whether it’s a stylish dining area, a kids playroom or an extension to your kitchen area, with a Guardian Warm Roof your conservatory can become a full time living area rather than a part time compromise.
